||Summer Learning Journey || Week 1: Ready, Steady…Go!||
Day 4 – Packing Up C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Children's suitcases.jpg
It’s official! You’ve chosen your country and bought your ticket. Now it’s time to pack for the big adventure! Think about where you are going and what the weather is going to be like when you arrive next week.
Activity 1
Q.To find out more about the weather in your chosen country log onto the Accu Weather website []. Type the name of the capital city of your country into the search bar. It will tell you what the weather is going to be like in your country of choice. On your blog, provide a five day forecast for the weather in the capital city of your chosen country.
A.On the 24th of Dec, on day time it’s sunny and at night it’s clear. On 25th of Dec it’s mostly sunny, and at night clear. On the 26th of Dec it’s partly sunny, and nighttime clear. On the 27th of Dec it's sunny to a bit cloudy, and at night mainly clear.  On 28th of Dec it’s partly sunny, and at night it’s mainly clear.

Activity 2
Q.Before you start packing your suitcase you will want to create a list of everything that you will need to bring with you. Most airlines let you bring one big suitcase with you so you’ll have to think carefully about what you want to bring…
On your blog site, post a list of everything that you need to pack for your trip. Put a star (*) beside the 5 items that you think are the most important.

A. Thing I would take with me.
* Phone ( In case you need help)
* Clothes
*  Money (when you need to buy something)
* Map (In case you get lost)
* Mp3 player. (When you get bored and want to listen to music)
I’ll only take this with me because I would only go starving if someone is there I know or I go with someone.

||Summer Learning Journey || Week 1: Ready, Steady…Go!||

Day 3 - Buying a ticket
Now that you have chosen your country it is time to start planning your trip. One of the first things you will need to do is to buy an airplane ticket. There are many, many airlines that fly around the world. Some of the most common are:
Air Canada Air New Zealand
C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air Canada logo.png                                C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air New Zealand image.png

Emirates             Air Asia
C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Emirates logo.png                 C:\Users\rwil313\Desktop\Air Asia logo.png
When you get onto the airplane you will be asked to watch a short safety video that tells you how to stay safe when flying in a plane. Arguably, the best airline safety videos are produced by Air New Zealand.

Activity 1
Q.Watch both of the current Air New Zealand safety videos. The first is a video that stars the All Blacks. The second is a video that stars Rhys Darby and Anna Faris (Hollywood actress).  Links for the videos are found below:
Air New Zealand Men In Black’ video
Air New ZealandSafety in Hollywood’ video
A.Once you have finished watching the videos, go to your blog and list three things that you need to do to stay safe on an airplane.
  1. Make sure your seatbelt is on, but remember how to take it off.
  2. Stay Calm, Because if you Panic it would help you in the plane. Panicking in the Plane would make you worry too much and you won’t have a good fight.
  3. Check for a life jacket before taking off. It’s important that your life jacket is there, because you never what’s going to happen in a plane so prepare.

Activity 2
Q.Imagine that you have been asked to create your very own airline. What would you call it? Design a simple logo for your airline and post it on your blog. You must include a short explanation of your logo below the picture.
A.My Airline is called Superdelux Air Force.
Here is my logo. S.A.F stands for Superdelux Air Force. The wings are for how our plane flys. The Halo is for we fly anywhere around the world.

cyber smart wiring

Constable Gordon came to talk to Room 7 about being smart online.

When Constable Gordon said that New Zealand has the highest rate of suicide. I was afraid because that might happen to me or someone else that I know.  Most of this has to do with cyber-bullying. I need to be careful about what I write online to other people. It will never be deleted. It can be retrieved by the provider.

Book Day

Book Day.
Today St. Pius X School came as a characters in our favourite book.. The reason why we came in our character of our favourite book was because it was a way of enjoying reading. I came and I was embermes because the rest had costumes. But Miss Tui had some so got and put it on. We went to the hall we had a Duffy assembly. Each class had to go up and say what character we are and from what book.
Today was a fun day because almost everybody came in character. My favourite part of the day was when it was finished.

Trip to Cathedral.

Trip to Cathedral

On July the first, St Pius X School had their chance to go on a trip to St Patrick’s Cathedral in the Auckland City. The reason why we had this trip, because it was the Year of Mercy and we went on a pilgrimage journey.

Once we arrived we waited outside the Cathedral and then entered the door of mercy that Bishop Patrick Dunn had blessed..When I walked in I could see a font and lot of photo of Jesus. During the mass, we sang a song for communion ‘Bread broken’’. After we finished our song we went up to receive communion. Later on we finished and we went to the hall and had our lunch.

It was my first time in the Cathedral and I learnt new things during the trip, the Cathedral was made over 100 years ago and inside the Cathedral is a foundation stone which was apart of the very first Cathedral of Auckland.
